project (01)
true and false
This project is to visually check what kind
of behavioral patterns are shown depending on the depth of the question when
answering truthfully or falsely. We filmed a video with over 40 questions, and
filmed the upper body (1), lower body (2), face (3), and full body (4). Visual
analysis was completed to the extent of writing a brief comment about the
behaviorial patterns created by overlapping screenshots. The case of answering
falsely and the case of answering truthfully were tested/filmed separately.

(1st take : warming up questions answered
truthfully
- 30 secs)
Simple questions were given to the interviewees as a warm up session and the interviewees were asked to answer everything truthfully
As mentioned, the interviewees were
questioned with simple questions such as name, age or hobby, etcs. Not many
movements noticed overall. In general, he was very calm and stable.
(1st take : Preference Questions answered in truthfully - 5 mins)
Simple questions were given and the interviewees answered everything truthfully.
While thinking about the question and
answering, his body reaction was getting a bit more active than the first phase.
However, still not very dynamic.
(1st take : Self-Description answered truthfully - 10 mins)
Simple questions were given and the interviewees answered everything truthfully.
When more profound questions were given, he
had to use more of his hand motion to express his thoughts.
(2nd take : warm up questions answered falsely - 30 secs)
Simple questions were given to the interviewees as a warm up session and the interviewees were asked to answer everything falsely.
As mentioned, the interviewees were
questioned with simple questions such as name, age or hobby, etc. Noticed many
facial expressions such as blinking eyes, touching nose, and awkward smiles. Legs
and body, however, were less active.
(2nd take : Preference Questions answered falsely - 5 mins)
Simple questions were given and the interviewees answered everything falsely.
Still, many actions detected on his facial
level such as scratching head, touching nose, and licking lips. His legs were
rather stable during the first phase of the interview, while his body started
to move back and forth.
(2nd take : Self-Description answered falsely - 10 mins)
Simple questions were given and the interviewees answered everything falsely.
When more profound questions were given, upper body movements lessen but he started to bow his head. Leg movement became more active noticeably and his body started move all over.

Terminology Diagram
This project aimed to clarify my terminology visually by creating a diagram of each word.
(1) Each section (area) indicates the territory of each word.
(2) The words in the corner show the far ends of the meaning.
(3) Area was blacked out when I “decide” that it doesn’t represent the actual meaning that I wish to portray.
(4) The final area is where the actual meaning is located and the position is more of an indicator of how the final word relates to each word.
(5) Below text is the final paragraph built with the final words.
(6) Blue words are the final terms.

Among the people who liked me, there were subtly¹ many people who wanted to consume⁵ me. I also liked their affection² and acclaim³ so I was willing to eat myself up. So I have nothing left and become a lump⁴. Then I’m building myself up. Actually, I like that lump. I'm leaving it as it is.

It features interactive tableware that respond to behavioral patterns with real-time soundscapes.
Sensors integrated into a plate capture primitive behavioral data, revealing our subconscious thoughts and imaginings.
As the audience engages with the installation by eating at the set table, they will stimulate their imagination and become conscious of capturing moments of art they might normally overlook.
Through these interactions, the audience becomes an integral part of the artwork, experiencing the process of becoming an artist themselves. This immersive experience reveals the art inherent in everyday activities, encouraging participants to discover the unique styles created by their behavioral patterns.
Success for this project is multifaceted. It is measured by the level of engagement and interaction from the audience, the extent to which participants become aware of the art in their everyday actions, and the community of shared experiences and discussions it builds. The project also aims to foster a deeper connection and understanding of interactive digital art, encouraging individuals to see the artistic potential in mundane activities.
By highlighting the art in everyday moments, the project seeks to expand the public's understanding and appreciation of visual arts.

While eating, they will experience interactive sounds through headphones, created by their eating patterns, whether intentional or random. This dual-sensory engagement ensures a profound and memorable interaction with the artwork.

Opera House
Out of all our senses, vision has always reigned like a master. And the other senses were like subordinates.
Just as we identify each other with our own looks, it is a project planned with the question of what would happen if there was a world where each of us had its own sound and could identify each other with this.
About 30 ultrasonic sensors are attached to the four pillars to measure the size of objects inside the four pillars. And sound is produced accordingly.

How to live like Yeri : Manual
As a young Journalist, I've always focused
on finding a meaning hidden within a long list of data. The data which has
found its meaning turns into a text for those who need the information that it
holds. Generative art which I encountered by chance brought a great inflection
point to my thinking as a data scientist. Statistics terminology and
terminologies from various fields that are not commonly used may not be
effectively communicated to the audience due to their technicality. On the
other hand, visual messages are sometimes much more intuitive and delivered
quickly and effectively. An even bigger advantage is that each piece of
information or number takes a unique form based on the designer’s character. As
Susan Sontag said, “Art is, now, mainly a form of thinking,” information takes
form as well as meaning through the design process. When the data that I am
handling is transformed into visual language, I find the form making process,
which turns a text into a language with more comprehensive and multidimensional
meaning, very attractive.
In the project, I collected the data of my behavioral pattens. All patterns are depicted from normal actions, such as eating, stretching, working out, etc.
Each movement was transformed into linear instruction, and it is a scheme of the action. As I mentioned, those visual assets became a material of another form of visual.
